The 19th International Congress of Linguists will take place from 21 to 27 July 2013, in Geneva. Registration will begin from 21, afternoon, and be followed by a welcoming party. The opening session of the scientific part of the Congress will be on the next morning. We recommend you book your accomodation till midday 27, not to miss the closing conferences of the Congress.

The airline company, SWISS, is the Congress official carier. As such, SWISS will offer very advantageous travel conditions to congress participants booking through their specific booking link (communicated to congress particpants as soon as they have completed their online registration form and paid the corresponding fee).

If you register before 31 December 2012, the registration fee amounts to 250 CHF; between the 1 January 2013 and 31 march 2013, it will be 300 CHF; from the 1 April 2013 till the Congress 350 CHF: If you are a student, the fee is 100 CHF, whenever you register. If you have a Phd and are currently (meaning 2012-2013) without academic affiliation, your fee is 150 CHF. If you choose to participate in the gala diner of the Congress (you can bring one partner) the cost will be 90 CHF each: this party will take place on Friday 26th July, from 7 p.m. You will find on the side of his page a table suming up all these costs.

Geneva being a town of manageable dimension, you can go more or less everywhere by public transportation. Accomodation in a hotel, on the swiss or french side of the border, or in the Cité Universitaire, gives you free access to all public transportation for the duration of your stay.

500 CHF grants will be allocated to students or scientists coming from countries encountering economic difficulties, to help them with Congress costs. Contact us later on for more precise information.
