PROPOSAL DEADLINE
The submission deadline for proposals to present at the TESOL 2014 Convention is Monday, 3 June 2013 at 5 pm Eastern Daylight Time in the United States. (For time zone differences worldwide, click here. The electronic proposal system does not accept proposal submissions after the deadline date and time.)
ELECTRONIC SUBMISSION OF PROPOSALS
All proposals must be submitted online through the TESOL website using the Précis Abstract Management System. Faxed or mailed proposals will not be accepted or acknowledged.

The organizers of the 2014 TESOL International Convention & English Language Expo in Portland, Oregon, invite professionals and scholars from around the world to follow in the footsteps of the explorers and pioneers who traveled the Oregon Trail. Explore our rich and extensive field of English-language teaching (ELT) with colleagues from around the world in the Great Northwest.

Portland is located within 5 hours by air from most North American destinations, and Portland’s International Airport serves 13 million travelers annually, providing nonstop service to domestic and international destinations worldwide. The airport is conveniently located 9 miles from downtown, with hotels, restaurants, convention center, and shops easily accessible by MAX Light Rail. INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE
Professionals and scholars from all English-language teaching (ELT) educational contexts worldwide and all related fields and content areas are invited to submit proposals to present at the 2014 TESOL International Convention & English Language Expo. Proposals are refereed by TESOL members who are trained reviewers from the content areas designated on the proposals.
TYPES OF SESSIONS
The visually engaging poster is mounted on a 4-foot by 8-foot display board that includes the session title, the name and institutional affiliation of the presenter(s), and very brief text with clearly labeled photos, drawings, graphs, or charts. On their feet throughout the session, presenters are expected to be available for discussion during the entire midday session as attendees circulate among the poster sessions. No AV equipment or electrical access will be available. Detailed guidelines will be sent to accepted poster session presenters.
